Crude oil option chain (MCX CRUDEOIL)
Live open interest for MCX crude oil options — the full CRUDEOIL contract and the CRUDEOILM mini — with the change since yesterday's close, IV, PCR, max pain and the strikes option writers are defending, minute by minute through the evening.
The contracts
| Contract | Symbol | Lot | Price quoted in | ₹1 move, per lot |

Lot sizes as the exchange lists them on 27 October 2026; the exchange can revise them.
The two crude oil chains
CRUDEOIL is 100 barrels a lot and CRUDEOILM a tenth of that, 10 barrels; both quote in rupees per barrel, so a strike means the same price on either chain and a ₹1 move is worth ₹100 a CRUDEOIL lot and ₹10 a mini lot. Each is its own chain with its own open interest — OIData reads both.
Every monthly series is written on that month's future, which expires a couple of days after the options: the 17 November 2026 options sit on the November future that expires on 19 November. The chain's middle line shows that future.
What moves the crude oil chain
MCX crude tracks the international crude benchmark, priced in dollars and converted at the rupee rate, so a move in either shows up in the premiums. The scheduled events are the weekly US crude inventory report, released on Wednesday evenings India time, and OPEC+ meetings — both in the Indian evening, which is why MCX's late session often carries crude's biggest moves.
MCX trades from 09:00 to 23:30, or to 23:55 while US clocks are on winter time (early November to mid-March), and on some equity holidays it opens for the evening session only. OIData's crude oil chain runs for all of it.
Reading it on OIData
Call open interest building above the future and put open interest below mark where writers expect the range to hold, and the OI change since yesterday's close shows which side is adding today. On 27 October 2026, with the November future near ₹9520, the heaviest strike was 9,000 — about 9,270 lots of put open interest — while the call side's gamma wall was at 9,600.
Dealer Positioning turns the same open interest into ₹ crore of hedging pressure per 1% move in the future (a lot is 100 barrels, so the maths uses OI × 100), with the gamma flip and a hedge ladder in lots. Trending OI tracks the call and put build-up from 09:00, and Options Activity flags strikes whose five-minute volume suddenly runs far above their usual pace.
