Sensibull is India’s best-known options trading platform: a strategy builder, basket orders and position analysis linked to your broker, and free for Zerodha users. If you want a Sensibull alternative for reading open interest rather than building trades, OIData is made for that job: dealer gamma, both auction sessions, a fear and greed gauge, every F&O stock’s trending OI and alerts on Telegram, in one plan.

We make OIData, so this is our side of the comparison. Every Sensibull fact here comes from Sensibull’s own site, its plans and its full feature list, read on 23 October 2026.

Sensibull alternative or companion?

The two tools do different jobs, and many traders will want both.

  • Sensibull helps you build, place and track trades: a strategy builder with more than 25 ready-made strategies and payoff charts, basket orders, draft portfolios, position analysis and a Mindful Trading prompt before impulsive orders. It is a SEBI-registered research analyst, and it also carries data tools: an option chain, open interest charts, FII DII data, an options screener and an IV chart.
  • OIData helps you read the market: where dealers are hedged, what the auctions did, how one-sided each stock’s option positioning is and what the volatility surface implies. It places no orders and never tells you what to buy or sell.

So the honest answer is that OIData is a Sensibull alternative for open interest analysis and a companion to it for placing trades. Read the market in OIData, then build the trade wherever you like.

14 tools in OIData that Sensibull doesn’t list

These are the reasons to choose a Sensibull alternative for open interest work. Each is in OIData’s one plan.

1. Dealer Positioning

Dealer Positioning estimates dealer gamma exposure (GEX) at every strike of NIFTY, SENSEX and stock options. From it come the call wall, the put wall, the gamma flip, pin conviction and the hedge ladder, refreshed every minute: the levels where option sellers’ hedging can slow the index down or push it along. The GEX guide explains each one.

OIData Dealer Positioning page showing the gamma regime, net GEX in rupees crore, the pin strike, the gamma flip, floor and ceiling, the session timeline of net GEX and spot, the levels-and-corridor table and the pin conviction score
Dealer gamma, one minute at a time. OIData's Dealer Positioning page. The regime read sits up top, here Partially Positive at ₹6,950 Cr with a near flip warning, with the pin strike, the flip, the floor and the ceiling beside it; the session timeline underneath plots net GEX against spot one minute at a time, and the levels table and pin conviction follow.

2. GEX Screener

The GEX Screener runs that read across every NSE F&O stock, ranks them by net dealer gamma and flags short-gamma names, where hedging tends to add to a move instead of damping it. The short-gamma guide shows how to use it.

3. Session Chart with the levels drawn

The Session Chart puts minute candles for NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX and F&O stocks together with the call wall, put wall, pin, gamma flip and expected move, so you see each level where price meets it. Sensibull’s Live Options Charts plot open interest, build-up, max pain, PCR and IV over time, not dealer gamma levels.

4. Opening Auction

Opening Auction follows the 09:00–09:15 pre-open for NIFTY and SENSEX as it happens, measures the opening print against the auction and futures-implied cash, and checks at 09:30 whether the gap is filling.

5. Closing Auction

Closing Auction covers the 15:15 index freeze, the auction print, the futures fair close and, on expiry days, the settlement risk. The closing auction guide shows why the last price on screen is not always the settlement.

6. Market Mood Index

Market Mood is a transparent 0–100 fear and greed gauge built from FII positioning, India VIX, skew, momentum, breadth and gold demand. The Market Mood guide explains the zones.

7. An AI news read and the GIFT NIFTY open

The Dashboard shows the next open implied by GIFT NIFTY and what is moving the market right now, each with an AI news read in a few plain sentences. Sensibull runs a Daily Market Analysis show; OIData writes its read on the page you are already looking at.

8. A pre-open brief and an end-of-day digest

At 08:45 the pre-open brief arrives by email or Telegram: the GIFT-implied open, the levels to watch and what yesterday’s close left behind. At 16:15 the digest sums up the session, with the futures build-up totals and, on expiry days, the straddle decay against its model.

9. Alerts on Telegram

Alerts watch up to 20 rules for you: PCR crosses, OI spikes, max pain shifts, OI walls, gamma flips and GIFT pre-open gaps, sent to Telegram when they trigger.

10. Trending OI and its screener

Sensibull’s options screener filters stocks by IVP, PCR, open interest and build-up. OIData adds Trending OI, open interest momentum across strikes with day high and low breaks, and the Trending OI Screener, which ranks every F&O stock by Day Strength and 15-minute Flow every 30 seconds.

11. IV surface, term structure and skew

Sensibull lists an IV chart and IV percentile. OIData’s Volatility page sets India VIX against realized volatility and adds the IV surface, the term structure, skew and the range option prices imply. The term structure guide reads them on a real day.

12. The expected move and straddle decay on Expiry Day

Sensibull shows max pain on its charts. OIData’s Expiry Day page adds where the index may pin, how fast the at-the-money straddle decays against its model, the expected-move band and how max pain drifts through the session.

13. Options Activity

Options Activity flags index option strikes whose 5-minute volume bursts above their usual run-rate, tagged as fresh opening flow or churn. The unusual activity guide explains the tags.

14. Seasonals

Seasonals overlays each year’s path from January to December for NIFTY, SENSEX, BANKNIFTY, India VIX and every F&O stock, with up to 10 years of history.

Everything else in OIData’s one plan

A Sensibull alternative for reading the market still needs the everyday tools. These are in the same plan:

  • Option Chain: strike-level call and put open interest, prices and changes for index and stock options, with replay that rewinds any recorded session.
  • OI Stats: call and put open interest at every strike side by side, with a time slider that replays the session.
  • Strike History: one strike day by day from listing to expiry, with its premium, open interest and build-up.
  • Futures OI: intraday futures open interest and price, session build-up in lots, basis and cost of carry.
  • Straddles & Strangles: a premium tracker with automatic at-the-money and custom strikes.
  • Buildup Screener: long buildup, short buildup, unwinding and short covering across the F&O list, ranked by OI change.
  • FII / DII Activity: FII, DII, Pro and Client positions in the cash market and F&O, daily to yearly.
  • Holidays: NSE, BSE and MCX holidays on one calendar.
  • Tutorials: a short video for every page.

OIData covers NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, FINNIFTY, MIDCPNIFTY, SENSEX, BANKEX and about 200 F&O stocks. It runs live through market hours through your own broker connection, and outside market hours every recorded session replays, so the tools are useful on a Sunday too. Several pages also export to CSV.

Sensibull price vs OIData price

Sensibull costs less, and for Zerodha users its Pro plan costs nothing. On 23 October 2026, Sensibull listed Pro at ₹800 a month on a one-month plan (marked down from ₹1300), ₹640 a month on six months and ₹392 a month on a year. The longer plans are offered to users who sign in with Google or with some brokers other than Zerodha, and its iPhone app carries no charge. A tier that costs nothing covers 8 features, including the basic option chain and FII DII data.

OIData’s one plan, Ultimate, is ₹1189 a month, or ₹10,701 a year (12 months for the price of 9). The difference pays for what a Sensibull alternative for open interest should add: dealer gamma, both auctions, the mood gauge, the AI read, alerts, the volatility surface, expiry-day analytics and seasonals.

What Sensibull does that OIData doesn’t

Sensibull’s strengths are on the trading side: the strategy builder and Strategy Wizard, payoff and Greeks before you trade, basket orders, named position groups, draft portfolios with an imported trade ledger, Easy Options and Expiry Trades for beginners, Mindful Trading, Verified by Sensibull P&L sharing, a stocks heat map, an events calendar, a daily market analysis show and free courses in English and Hindi, with apps for iPhone and Android. OIData has none of these. It does not build or place trades; it shows you the market and leaves the decision with you. If you need those trading tools, keep Sensibull; if you need to read the market underneath them, add a Sensibull alternative like OIData.

Using OIData and Sensibull together

A Sensibull alternative for reading the market works well beside Sensibull itself. A routine many traders could follow with the two:

  1. 08:45: read OIData’s pre-open brief on Telegram or email.
  2. 09:00–09:30: watch the Opening Auction, then see whether the gap fills.
  3. Through the session: keep Dealer Positioning open for the walls and the flip, and the Trending OI Screener for stocks.
  4. When you have a view: build and place the trade in Sensibull, or with your broker.
  5. 15:15 and 16:15: watch the Closing Auction, then read the digest.
